A male mountain lion has been shot and killed near Lewis and Clark Lake.
The Game and Parks Commission reports the 157-pound lion is the first harvested in the Prairie Unit, which has had an open mountain lion hunting season since the beginning of the year.
The Prairie Unit is the only section of the state that allows the hunting of mountain lions at this time. The season in the Prairie Unit is open until the end of the year.
