Nebraska men’s basketball freshman forward B.J. Day suffered a season-ending injury, when he tore his ACL during practice this week. Day will miss this season and apply for a medical redshirt to have four years of eligibility remaining. Day, who is the son of former Husker standout Bernard Day, played at Lincoln Southeast High School, averaging 14.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game last season to earn second-team Class A all-state honors.
