Hassebrook made a short speech to about 300 Democratic Party supporters in Omaha Tuesday night, saying there is more work out there for his supporters to do.
“This campaign was never about me. This campaign was about getting Nebraskans working together to make our state a more perfect state and a more just state, build a better future for our children and our grandchildren, strengthen our middle class and our communities, create genuine opportunity for every Nebraskan. That is the work of generations. That is work, those are objectives that are never won or lost in a single battle,” Hassebrook said.
