Since 1901, Wisconsin and Nebraska have met a total of eight times on the football field with each school winning four games apiece.
Now, this season, this game will feature two of the top running backs not only in the Big Ten, but in country. Melvin Gordon of Wisconsin has over 1,500 rushing yards, Ameer Abdullah with over 1,200 rushing yards, but will Abdullah play after getting banged up against Purdue? Bo Pelini says yes, but watching Pelini at his press conference, he looked fidgety. Abduallah hasn’t taken any practice reps yet.
If the Huskers are going to have any success against Gordon, who rushed for 202 yards on 25 carries last week against Purdue, it will be important for the front four to tackle well.
