The annual “Classic Car Collection” is kicking off this holiday weekend in Kearney. The event started on Black Friday in 2011 and has been gaining popularity ever since, according to organizer Brad Kernick.
The Classic Car Collection is operated by a team of both paid staff and dedicated volunteers. Kernick says the number of cars on display at the event continues to grow at an astounding rate.
In the three years the Classic Car Collection has been open, it has welcomed guests from all 50 states as well as from 47 foreign countries.
The event’s hours are 9-to-5 Monday through Saturday and from noon to 5 on Sunday through the end of the year.
It’s located in a 50,000 square foot area in the east end of Cabela’s on Highway 30 East in Kearney.
