A federal jury has found Shantoria Valentine-Deguenon guilty of bank robbery. She will be sentenced early next year.
According to federal prosecutors, Valentine-Deguenon walked into the Wells Fargo branch on July 28th, gave a note to two tellers stating she had a bomb, then started yelling she had a bomb. The tellers gave her money and she ran from the bank.
A citizen followed in pursuit, tracked her to the Ralston Middle School parking lot and ordered her to the ground until police officers arrived on the scene and arrested her.
They didn’t find a bomb. They did recover $1,213.
