A young Seward woman has been convicted of motor vehicle homicide in a 2013 fatal accident in which two young men were thrown from her car.
According to the Attorney General’s office, 21-year-old Jessica Percival lost control of her car June 16th of 2013 with two passengers hanging out of the windows. Both 22-year-old Austin Krivda and 22-year-old Michael Johnson were thrown from the car. Krivda died at the scene. Johnson suffered serious injuries.
A toxicology report indicated Percival had methamphetamine and marijuana in her system.
The motor vehicle homicide charge is a misdemeanor. It carries a maximum fine of one year in prison and a $1,000 fine.
