United Way of the Midland launches nationwide presidential search

January 13, 2015 By Brent Martin

United Way of the Midlands has announced it will begin a nationwide search for a new president to succeed Karen Bricklemyer, who died unexpectedly last summer.

DHR International’s James Abruzzo will lead the search.

Bricklemyer served three years as United Way of the Midlands President and CEO. Senior Vice President of Marketing Shawna Forsberg took over as interim president after Bricklemyer’s death. Senior Vice President of Finance and Operations Pam Schwalb has been serving as interim Chief Operating Officer.

Anyone interested in the position or in nominating a candidate should email Michele Counter at mcounter@dhrinternational.com.

United Way of the Midlands, which is based in Omaha, hopes to name a new President and CEO in the second quarter of 2015.
