Nineteen-year-old Briana Sifuentez and 22-year-old Tony Christensen entered their pleas Tuesday in district court.
Search warrant documents illuminate startling new details of the alleged scheme that was uncovered in late January.
The suspects are accused of passing three counterfeit $100s and fake $20s at businesses in Sidney.
The pair was identified through security video at Walmart. During the investigation, a search warrant was executed at two homes in Dalton, an RV and a car.
The search allegedly uncovered $5,081 in fake currency including 37 counterfeit $100s and a printer with partially printed counterfeit bills. The case may also link to other thefts in Cheyenne County as several driver’s licenses, credit and debit cards that had been reported stolen were found.
Both suspects are due in court in early March.
