A Kearney-based roofing company has been cited by OSHA for failing to provide fall protection for a 42-year-old worker who fell to his death and a 25-year old who fell and suffered serious injuries while working in Grand Island last year.
OSHA has proposed penalties of $7,600 for the safety violations.
Roeder Construction has 15 business days to comply, to request an informal conference with the OSHA area director or contest the findings.
The company has not publicly responded yet to OSHA’s findings.
