A state senator who collapsed in her office Thursday afternoon has been released from a Lincoln hospital and has returned to her home in Omaha.
Sen. Sara Howard apparently suffered a seizure. She was conscious when paramedics arrived at the Capitol. Howard was taken to Bryan West hospital in Lincoln and released after tests disclosed no serious problem.
Howard, who is 33, was elected to the Unicameral in 2012 from District 9 in central Omaha. She is an attorney. Howard succeeded her mother, former Sen. Gwen Howard.
