Four people have died from a three-vehicle wreck near Valley in Douglas County.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office reports three died at the scene Sunday evening and one person died while being rushed to an Omaha hospital.
Those killed in the crash were 40-year-old Amber Wood of Kennard, 49-year-old Jason Miller of Valley, 57-year-old John Prusa of Howells, and 55-year-old Dorine Prusa of Howells. John and Dorine Prusa were husband and wife.
The sheriff’s office reports a 17-year-old teen-ager driving a pick-up north on 252nd Street ran a stop sign at the Nebraska 36 intersection and hit an eastbound sports utility vehicle carrying Wood and Miller. The collision drove the SUV into the path of another SUV driven by the Prusas.
The pick-up driver and her 16-year-old female passenger suffered non-serious injuries.
The sheriff’s office says the teen-age driver likely will face charges in the accident.
