Kaylan Jablonski did her job in the circle and at the plate as the Nebraska softball team finished off a three-game sweep of the Wisconsin Badgers with a 9-0 five-inning victory in the series finale Sunday.
Jablonski and junior right-hander Emily Lockman combined on a two-hit shutout, Nebraska’s third shutout in Big Ten play. Jablonski (6-5) earned the win with 4.0 shutout innings, while Lockman pitched a perfect fifth inning.
Jablonski tied her career highs with two hits and two RBIs, while her catcher Steph Pasquale, homered and drove in three while walking twice.
The five-inning victory was Nebraska’s 15th run-rule win of the season, as the Huskers improved to 29-19 on the year and remained in third place in the Big Ten standings with a 15-5 record in league play.
