Two Nebraska nursing homes have entered receivership after their Utah owner notified Nebraska officials it was no longer able to pay staff.
The Nebraska Attorney General’s office reports judges in Brown and Burt Counties entered orders placing the Ainsworth Care Center and Logan Valley Manor in Lyons into the receivership of Klaasmeyer & Associates of Omaha.
Both nursing homes are owned by Deseret Health Group of Bountiful, Utah.
The Ainsworth facility has 24 residents; the Lyons home has 12.
The action came after Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services CEO
Courtney Phillips requested Attorney General Doug Peterson seek the receiverships.
Deseret Health Group has cooperated with the Attorney General’s Office and DHHS in the receivership proceedings.
