An Omaha police officer has been shot and critically wounded.
Omaha police report a female police officer has been taken to Creighton University Medical Center where she is reported to be in extremely critical condition.
Two people have been rushed to a hospital after shots were fired near 32nd and Martin Avenue in the northeast part of Omaha.
Witnesses say medics were performing CPR on the officer before she was taken to a hospital.
The officer and the other shooting victim have not been identified and it is unknown why the officer was called to the scene. Yelling and screaming can be heard coming from a house in that area.
The investigation covers several blocks and the Omaha Police Command Center is at the scene. No further details are available.
