Many 12 year old boys and girls play the guitar but very few like Aidan Fisher of Papillion. Aidan and his father, Chris are on the road today heading to Kansas City where he will open RockFest with his own version of the National Anthem.
Fisher says Aidan started taking piano lessons when he was 6. At 7 he was playing the bass guitar and at 8 the guitar. Fisher says in 2013 he took Aidan to a Guns & Roses concert and they stayed in the same hotel as the band and ran into Axl Rose. The two ended up in the front row and Rose had Aidan come on stage – as a fan- at the end of the show and took a final bow with the band.
Fisher says that is what motivated Aidan to focus on the guitar. A year ago his hard work paid off. Fisher says they went to a Steel Panther concert and held up a sign challenging them to a guitar solo. They invited Aidan on stage and amazed everyone with his performance. There is a YouTube video of Aidan at the show and it has nearly three-million views.
Aidan was scouted by America’s Got Talent and went to New York City to appear on Fox and Friends. Fisher says Aidan has a full schedule coming up. He has a number of performances scheduled around the Omaha metro area. Aidan also won an online voting contest to perform the National Anthem at a Kansas City Chiefs game this fall.
