Officials with the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha report an employee has been released from the hospital after suffering a serious injury from a Komodo dragon bite.
Zoo officials say the female employee was treated at the Nebraska Medical Center.
Officials say the employee suffered a serious bite to the hand and was taken to the hospital when fellow employees could not stop the bleeding. The injury required stitches.
Henry Doorly received the dragon, named Albi, from the San Antonio Zoo where he was born in 1997. He has been on display in special quarters at the Cat Complex.
