The third suspect in an Omaha murder last week near Miller Park is now in custody. Omaha police say 12 year old Jarrell Milton was located by the U-S Marshals and the Fugitive Task Force in Minneapolis, Minnesota and was taken into custody early this morning. He will be transported back to Omaha where he will face first degree murder charges.
Milton’s 17 year old brother, Jamar Milton and 15 year old Shuntayvious Primes-Willis are also charged with first degree murder in the shooting death of 31 year old Jamymell Ray on June 29th. 30 year old Charles Fisher was injured in the shooting and survived. The two teens made their first court appearance on Tuesday and are being held without bond.
Prosecutors say the boys arranged a meeting with Ray and Fisher to purchase marijuana. They say all three boys were armed and tried to rob the two men before shots were fired.
Details on how Jarrell Milton ended up in Minnesota have not been released. His father is currently in a Minneapolis prison for murder.
