The monument to westward expansion that spans 310 feet over Interstate 80 will host a variety of special events on Saturday to mark the anniversary.
Spokesman Jace Robinson says there will be arcade games, model railroading, food and entertainment.
“Game and Parks is having a free family fishing day,” Robinson says. “Folks can come out and fish for free. Game and Parks will have everything you need to fish. That’ll be out here on the pond.”
The Archway presents 170 years of transportation history through detailed displays and harrowing stories you’ll hear as you walk over one of America’s busiest interstate highways.
