Seven members of the Nebraska men’s gymnastics team have been named All-America Scholar-Athletes by the College Gymnastics Association. Josh Ungar, Ryan Irick, Ethan Lottman, Alex Magsam and Chris Stephenson each picked up first-team accolades, while Andrew House and Daniel Leal garnered second-team awards.
Ungar, a nutrition science major, became one of only ten gymnasts in the nation this year to achieve first-team Scholar-Athlete honors in all four years of eligibility. Irick and Lottman both notched their third first-team award, as Stephenson tallied his first career first-team honor after named to the second-team in 2014. Recent Husker graduate House grabbed his second second-team nomination, while the honor marks the first career accolade for Magsam and Leal.
Collectively, the Huskers ranked seventh among all NCAA collegiate gymnastics programs with a team grade-point average of 3.198 in 2014-15.
