An Omaha woman on her way to work around 1:30 this morning came face-to-face with a carjacker near 33rd and L Street.
Omaha Police say Suzanna Menjivar just parked her vehicle and was getting out when she saw a man with a gun demanding her car.
Police say the theft didn’t quite go as the carjacker planned.
Menjivar isn’t very tall and had the seat adjusted in a forward position. The carjacker was quite tall and couldn’t fit behind the wheel and didn’t know how to adjust the seat. Police say he only got a few feet before he gave up, got out of the car and took off running. No one was hurt.
