An Omaha man has been sentenced to nearly five years in federal prison for robbing two banks.
Federal prosecutors says 38-year-old Kevin Lee passed a note to a teller at an American National Bank branch in Omaha on November 17th of last year, demanding $500. The next day, Lee entered an Omaha branch of U.S. Bank and passed a similar note to a teller, demanding $900.
Police contacted Lee on a separate matter two days later and identified him as the bank robber by noticing tattoos on his fingers that matched those of the suspect from surveillance photos from the U.S. Bank robbery.
Lee has been sentenced to four years and nine months in prison and ordered to pay $1,400 in restitution.
