The Hope Center reports Ty and Terri Schenzel died in a crash on Thursday.
According to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety, four people died in the two-car crash Thursday afternoon on Interstate 90, three miles east of Alexandria.
Though the department has not released the names of the victims yet, the Hope Center reports a passenger in the car with the Schenzels, Ryan Hrubes, died in the crash. Hrubes’ wife, Emily, is reported in critical condition at a hospital in Rapid City, South Dakota.
South Dakota officials say the driver of the other vehicle died in the crash.
According to South Dakota officials, a pick-up collided with the Schenzels’ vehicle. The pick-up was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes. Both vehicles were engulfed in flames.
