The fifth ranked Nebraska volleyball team opens the season this weekend by hosting the Nebraska Invitational at the Bob Devaney Sports Center. The Huskers open Friday night against Tulsa and play two matches on Saturday by squaring off against Grand Canyon University and Pitt.
“Our number one goal for this weekend is to get our best serving and passing lineup on the court because that is what wins early and late”, said veteran Husker coach John Cook. We’re going to figure out how we can pass the best and that will allow us to run an offense.”
Cook enters the season three wins shy of 600. With three victories, he will become the 15th active division one head coach to reach 600 wins.
