Nebraska coach Mike Riley says the Husker offense will face a BYU defense that “likes to blitz from the bleachers” when the teams square off Saturday in Memorial Stadium.
A veteran quarterback like Tommy Armstrong could help against pressure and Armstrong says the key will be recognizing what defense BYU is in at the snap.
“Your know there three-four defense they disguise a little bit and do things a little bit different than the three-four defenses we have faced in the past”, said Armstrong. “Blitz wise they kind of have no rules when it comes to blitzing.”
Saturday’s game will be the first ever between two programs that have combined to win 69 conference championships.
