Nebraska junior I-back Terrell Newby was honored by the Big Ten Conference Monday morning, as he shared Big Ten Offensive Player-of-the-Week honors. It marks the first time that Newby has been honored by the Big Ten.
The junior I-back from Los Angeles carried the ball 28 times for 198 yard and rushed for two touchdowns in Nebraska’s 48-9 victory over South Alabama on Saturday. In all, Newby totaled 236 all-purpose yards, as he also hauled in two passes for 38 yards and a touchdown in the victory.
Newby shared the honor with Iowa quarterback C.J. Beathard.
