Nebraska coach Mike Riley told the Big Ten Teleconference on Tuesday that the Huskers will continue to schedule high profile non-conference opponents to maintain the program’s national profile. The Huskers face their first road test of the season this week when they visit Miami.
“We are going to play some of these national games”, said Riley. “The other part of that is we are a nationally based recruiting team. We’ve got guys from Florida to California on our team so the nature of this thing really motivates us to be that team.”
Nebraska has already scheduled future non-conference series against Oregon, Colorado, Oklahoma and Tennessee.
