Though many economic indicators point in a positive direction, it appears consumers still worry about the economy.
Nebraska Bankers Association Chairman Mike Pate says though many signs point to an economy emerging from deep recession, too many uncertainties linger.
“Tax policies are a concern for them. The health care laws are a concern for them; the uncertainty in the economy. The political landscape is extremely important,” Pate tells Nebraska Radio Network affiliate WNAX. “So, all those things are weighing on people’s minds right now. There is just too much uncertainty.”
Pate says many investors also are waiting for the Federal Reserve to make some moves on interest rates.
