It was supposed to be the game of the year in the Big Ten West Division race. Instead, Nebraska hosts Wisconsin on Saturday and both teams are looking to stay in the hunt.
The Badgers opened the league race with a 10-6 loss to Iowa while the Huskers stumbled late at Illinois in a 14-13 loss.
The outcome may be decided by which team can run the ball effectively. The Badgers are giving up just under 95 yards on the ground per game while the Huskers yield only 85.
“We’re not going into game saying they are really good at this so we can’t do that”, said Husker coach Mike Riley. “To think they are really good up front so we are not going to run the ball would be a real mistake for us to make.”
Kickoff in Memorial Stadium is 2:30. The game will be televised by ABC.
