An Omaha police officer assaulted when responding to a disturbance call at a convenience store has been released from the hospital.
Omaha police Officer Tom Arrance is now recovering at home from a concussion and facial fractures after he was assaulted last Wednesday at 30th and Martin. Officer Arrance was responding to a disturbance call at the Howell’s BP gas station and convenience store around 9:30 p.m. when he was knocked unconscious.
The suspect, 31 year old Chaz Hill, ran from the scene but was arrested a few blocks away.
Hill remains behind bars on a half-million dollar bond.
