A juvenile has been given a deal after confessing to his role in the shooting death of a 31-year-old this summer in Omaha’s Miller Park.
Prosecutors say they are looking for an appropriate juvenile home for Jarrell Milton, perhaps out of state.
Prosecutors say Milton admitted to participating in the shooting death of Jamymell Ray in exchange for reduced charges and a sentence of probation in a group home. Milton initially had been charged as a juvenile with first-degree murder.
Police say the boy was carrying a handgun when he and two teen-agers ambushed two men, killing Ray. Prosecutors say 17-year-old Jamar Milton, Jarrell’s brother, and 15-year-old the Shuntayvious Primes-Willis robbed and shot two men after arranging to buy marijuana from them. Ray died. 30-year-old Charles Fisher was wounded.
