Lincoln police have yet to release any suspect information following a shooting near the state Capitol that left one man with life-threatening injuries.
Officers were called to the scene around 6:30 Monday morning after getting reports of gunshots.
They arrived to find a man suffering from two gunshot wounds in his torso.
They believe the victim was shot inside a nearby apartment following a disturbance.
They also say the shooting wasn’t a random attack, and believe the victim and gunman knew each other.
Police interviewed several witnesses at the scene but haven’t clarified a motive for the attack.
