The body recovered from the Missouri River near Nebraska City has been identified as that of a 40-year-old Council Bluffs, Iowa woman missing since late October.
The Nebraska State Patrol identified the woman as Jennifer Giles.
On November 23rd, a trapper reported to the Otoe County Sheriff’s Office and the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission he had discovered a body in an area north of the Omaha Public Power District power plant.
An autopsy was performed. The identity was determined through dental records.
Giles had been reported missing by her family to the Council Bluffs Police Department October 28th. NSP is assisting the department with the ongoing investigation.
