A former psychologist for the Nebraska football program says it is clear that the losing season is taking a toll. Dr. Jack Stark served as sports psychologist for the Huskers from 1989 to 2004 and says he can tell a lot by looking at the body language of the coaches and players.
“It looks like they are demoralized and in shock”, said Stark. “They have never experienced that. None of the coaches or the players and it is so hard for them to be able to deal with this that they don’t know what to do next.”
Dr. Stark says this is a new culture for all of those involved and it does take time to implement a new system.
The Huskers are 3-6 as they prepare to host 6th ranked Michigan State on Saturday.
