Two of the top teams in division two volleyball collide on Friday night when third ranked Wayne State hosts top ranked Concordia of St. Paul. Both teams are 14-2 in the Northern Sun Conference and part of a four way tie for first place that includes second ranked Southwest Minnesota State and fourth rated Northern State.
“This is why our players play and this is why we coach and we are really excited about it”, said Wayne State coach Scott Kneifil. “It should be a great atmosphere and obviously some of the best volleyball in division two. We are really excited to have it.”
The Wildcats have won 10 straight but lost the first meeting with Concordia-St. Paul on the road back on October third. Kneifil hopes the home court is an advantage this time.
“Last time we went up there most of the people were cheering against the Wildcats so hopefully this time we can get a bunch of people cheering for the Wildcats.”
