With a 3-6 record Nebraska has been reduced to the role of spoiler and the Huskers will get their first chance against a sixth ranked Michigan State squad that is in the playoff hunt and the thick of the race in the Big Ten East Division.
Nebraska coach Mike Riley says posting an upset begins with a good week of practice and the Huskers have had one.
“This is how you do it you have to believe you can do it, you practice and then you have to perform”, said Riley. “It is a three way deal but you have to know you can do it otherwise you are done.”
Riley says junior quarterback Tommy Armstrong is expected to start after missing last week’s loss at Purdue with a foot injury.
“It looks good to me and I don’t see much missing there. I thought he was quick and fast.”
Kickoff in Memorial Stadium is 6:00p.m. The game will be televised by ESPN.
