Saunders County Sheriff’s Office is waiting for autopsy results of a man who died Thursday near Yutan. Sheriff Kevin Stukenholtz says a pickup was located in a lagoon of a water treatment plant about a mile from town. He says the pickup had left the road, went through a fence along the side of the lagoon, over the top of the berm and into the water.
The man is identified as 66 year old James McLaughlin of Mead.
Sheriff Stukenholtz says he was last seen around 6 p.m. Wednesday evening. He had been golfing with a relative and didn’t return home. His family retraced the route he would of taken and saw the fence down near the water treatment plant and discovered his pickup in the water.
