Nebraska coach Mike Riley says an upset victory over Michigan State began with a good week of practice and he is looking for the same effort this week as they prepare for a trip to Rutgers.
The Huskers posted their biggest victory of the season with a 39-38 win over the sixth ranked Spartans and will be heavily favored this week against a Scarlet Knights team that is 3-6 after a 49-16 loss to Michigan.
“You know I really don’t like to all of a sudden change because of the perception of the opponent”, said Riley. “You would like a consistency in what it takes to get ready to play and this is who we are and this is an identity. That allows you to be at your best all of the time.”
The Huskers are 4-6 and need to win their final two games to become bowl eligible.
