The Nebraska football traded touchdowns with Rutgers in the third quarter, but hold onto a lead headed to the final period of play.
Nebraska’s lead was cut to seven with the a trick play touchdown by Rutgers early in the third quarter, but the Huskers were able to push the margin back to 14 with a touchdown pass from Tommy Armstrong to Cethan Carter.
At the end of the third quarter, Nebraska led 28-14. But the Huskers started the fourth quarter with a 44 yard field goal by Drew Brown to extend the lead to 31-14.
Rutgers now has the ball early in the final quarter.
