Most countries in the world continue to mourn the 129 people in Paris killed Friday in a coordinated shootings and bombings. France retaliated on Sunday and bombed Islamic State training camps and munitions areas. Retired Lt. Colonel Dr. Jeff Addicott is a terrorism law expert and director of the Center of Terrorism Law at St. Mary’s University in Texas and is frustrated not more was done to stop these terrorists from day one.
Dr. Addicott says, “They are everywhere but I agree that we have a center of gravity in Iraq and Syria and that needs to be crushed. This is not a hard math problem. These airstrikes here and airstrikes there, that is not going to get the job done. You have got to crush the beehive, not shoot bees here and there and then crow like a rooster that we killed Jihad John or so-and-so. It doesn’t matter. They have five more to take his place.”
Dr. Addicott says it is not time for a “long hot shower”. He says we should go in and crush them and leave. We don’t do half measures. He says when another terrorist group forms and they become a threat we do the same thing over again.
President Obama said today more Syrian refugees will be allowed into the U-S after screening and background checks. Dr. Addicott has another theory. He says Sharia Law is not compatible with our way of life. He says, “Why in the world would you bow-down to this concept of an alternate lifestyle type of nonsense. While it is true that not all people that adhere to Sharia Law isn’t going to kill you but there are two different things here. As we let these Syrian refugees in, they have no frame of reference for our culture. Why don’t we keep them over there, use our money to establish camps so when there is some stability in the Middle East they can return home?”
