Two high scoring teams collide on Thursday night when Creighton visits 14th ranked Indiana as part of the Gavitt Tipoff Games. The Blue Jays are 2-0 after a 103-78 victory over Texas-San Antonio and have connected on 25 three pointers and hitting 53 percent from the field in a 2-0 start. The Hoosiers are 2-0 after a 102-76 victory over Austin Peay and have 25 three pointers to go along with 59 percent shooting.
Creighton coach Greg McDermott says transition defense will be the key.
” I feel like we are getting back but I don’t know that there is a lot of urgency to get our defense set once we get back and that will be the key to the game”, said McDermott. “They are coming at you as fast as anybody in the country and you have to be back and you have to be ready or you are going to pay for it.”
Tipoff in Assembly Hall is 6:00p.m. and the game will be carried on the Big Ten Network.
