Nebraska women’s basketball coach Connie Yori says in many ways the season begins this evening for the Huskers.
With a 4-1 record after a lopsided loss at top ranked UConn the Huskers host North Carolina State in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
“We had the expectation that at this point in the season we would very likely be 4-1 based on our first four opponents and our fifth opponent”, said Yori. “Now we start playing games that are back and forth games and every possession is going to be more critical.”
The Wolfpack are 6-1 and return four starters from last year’s team that advanced to the WNIT after going 18-15 overall and 7-9 in the ACC.
