Creighton dominated the start of the game and the second half and the Blue Jays cruised to an 83-67 win over Nebraska for their fifth straight victory in the series. It was also a much needed win after losses to Arizona State and Loyola.
“The start of the game and the start the second half was the difference in the game”, said Creighton coach Greg McDermott. “We did not start the second half well against Arizona State and that was a big difference in the game so the fact that we were able to flip was really key for us.”
Isiah Zierdan led Creighton with 17 points as the Blue Jays connected on 52 percent for the game. Nebraska struggled from the field and finished under 40 percent.
