The Nebraska football team is relishing the chance to finish the season with a quality win. The Huskers returned to the practice field over the weekend to begin preparation for the December 26th Foster Farms Bowl against UCLA.
At 5-7 it has been a season full of disappointment but Husker coach Mike Riley says a quality win would be a good way to head into the off season.
“All of what we are doing is focused on winning the game”, said Riley. “We need to win and get ready to win. This is one more great opportunity.”
Offensive lineman Ryne Reeves says the Husker seniors would love to close out their career with a win.
“It is a great opportunity for us to show we are better than our record”, said Reeves. “For us seniors it is an opportunity for us to go out on top.”
The Huskers leave for San Francisco on December 21st.
