A Lincoln man and woman have been charged with human trafficking after a woman at a hotel in rural Hall County claimed she had been recruited from Arkansas with the promise making a lot of money doing “massages.”
28-year-old Marcuiece Johnson and 21-year-old Katie Brandt have been charged with two counts of human trafficking. The woman is not being named.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office says deputies and Nebraska State Patrol troopers answered a disturbance call at the rural hotel and interviewed the woman who claimed she had been engaged in prostitution for Johnson and Brandt.
A preliminary hearing has been set for the 2nd of February.
