Winners of four of their last five the Nebraska-Kearney men’s basketball team is at home tonight against the University of Central Oklahoma.
The streak started with a 98-95 win at Central Missouri back on December 19th, a game the Lopers were without injured forward Ethan Brozek.
“That was a huge win and I think it took a lot of pressure off of us”, said Nebraska-Kearney coach Kevin Lofton. “I think it toughened us up and now that we have gotten him back this is as healthy as we are going to be from here on out.”
The Lopers have picked it up offensively and are averaging 97 points over the past five games. They are 5-4 in the MIAA race and tonight’s game is the first of two at home this week.
“No question we have to protect our home court if we are going to stay in the race”
Central Oklahoma enters the game with a 3-6 record in the MIAA.
