A man jumped to his death into the icy Missouri River late this morning.
Omaha police report emergency personnel responded to a call shortly after 11am that a man had stepped over the railing of the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge in Omaha.
In route, an update came across that the man had jumped from the bridge. The Omaha Fire Department and the Council Bluffs (Iowa) River Rescue arrived at the scene to assist. Crews found the man and removed him from the river near the I-80 bridge.
The man was rushed by ambulance to CHI Creighton University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at about 1:30pm.
No identification has been released.
