The body of a young Omaha man reported missing since early December has been recovered in a submerged pick-up in Folly Beach, South Carolina.
The Omaha Police Department says family members reported 26-year-old William Smith II missing December 8th.
Dental records confirmed the body recovered was that of Smith.
The cause of death has not been determined, but Charleston County Coroner’s Office says no suspicious circumstances have been found. The office is awaiting toxicology results before naming a cause.
A pick-up recently bought by Smith had been found underwater at a marina on January 21st. A cell phone belonging to Smith was found near the dock.
