The Nebraska men’s basketball team will not have senior forward Shavon Shields for tonight’s game at Wisconsin. Shields was injured in Saturday’s win over Rutgers and has been following Nebraska’s concussion protocol procedures.
“We are just going to take are time with him”, said Husker coach Tim Miles. “This is just going to be a process and we will get him back when he is ready.”
The Huskers are 5-6 in the Big Ten and visit a Wisconsin team that is 6-4. After starting Big Ten play with a 1-4 record the Badgers have won four straight under interim coach Greg Gard.
“I don’t think anyone would have picked that after they lost to Western Illinois and Milwaukee and some of those teams so I think he has done a great job.”
Wisconsin is 14-9 overall while the Huskers are 13-11. Tip off in the Kohl Center is 6:01 p.m.
