The Nebraska Wesleyan men’s basketball team is putting a winning streak together at the right time. The Prairie Wolves have won four straight games after Wednesday nights 108-96 victory over Hastings College and at 12-5 have moved into second place in the Great Plains Conference race.
Senior guard Trey Bardsley tied a career-high with 48 points in the victory over Hastings on 16 of 19 shooting and has connected on 60 percent of his shots during the four game winning streak.
“Even though he scores a lot of points he does a great job of delivering the basketball to other guys who are open”, said Nebraska Wesleyan coach Dale Wellman. “He leads us in assists as well as scoring and his ability to go inside really helps everyone.”
Nebraska Wesleyan will try to make it five in a row on Saturday at home against Dordt College.
“We know as he continue to win each game becomes even more important as we head down this final stretch.”
